As you know we recently moved our home which has lots of windows and natural light. I totally have become a plant lady with all of the natural light in our house and I love it! So I wanted to keep all of the light in our home to keep our moods up and plants alive. But it was hard to decide if we wanted to use blinds when they block out so much natural light and some are dangerous around littles. I also couldn’t find anything I liked.
Since we moved we have had butcher paper taped up as makeshift while we tried to find some type of solution. It started driving me crazy because it looked so bad & also it felt like I was in a cave or something. I’ve heard some scary stories about blind cords so I I wanted to find something that could give us privacy but wasn’t risky like blinds are. The windows in our bathroom are not pre-shaded and I definitely didn’t want to put up curtains. I wanted to find an affordable solution so I searched on Amazon and found Window Whirl and thought that these would be perfect for our bathroom and back door in our kitchen.
I was surprised at how easy to install the matte film was to put up and I love that it is removable if needed. If you ever need to remove the film it leaves no residue and is easy to peel off.
To install the film all you need to do is spray the film and the window with some soapy water in a spray bottle. It is super easy to cut and trim to fit. Once you have cut the film to fit, you place it on the window and squeegee the water down the window. Then you are done! I will say Eric & I have tested it with one of us standing in front of the window & the other outside & you can barely even see that someone is standing there! It creates so much privacy!
Window Whirl also has black out film that is perfect for babies rooms and for day sleeping- my brother works graveyard shifts so he totally needs it! I want to use the black out film in my next newborn’s room.
