Cookie time- is the best time! I recently adapted some different recipes to make my new favorite cookie recipe. This chocolate peanut butter chocolate chip cookies recipe is so easy and so yummy!
I love chocolate and peanut butter! I mean I love a classic chocolate chip cookie but I really LOVE these cookies.
Let’s cut to the chase so you can get to these chocolate peanut butter cookies with cocoa powder!
Ingredients of Chocolate Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
-1/2 cup/ 1 stick of butter
-1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
-3/4 cup brown sugar
-2 eggs
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-1 cup all purpose flour
-1/4 cup cocoa powder
-1/4 teaspoon salt flakes
-1/2 teaspoon baking soda
-1/2 cup peanut butter chips- I like the Reese’s brand ones
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chocolate chips. Stir in between and watch so you don’t burn.
- Mix the rest of the ingredients in a stand mixer. Add in chocolate/butter mixture. Stir and then add in Reese’s chips.
- Chill the dough for 1/2 hour. Just so dough is harden but still able to scoop.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- Scoop into balls- I use this scoop for every cookie I make. It makes it SO much easier and it is the perfect size.
- Place the cookie dough balls a couple inches apart on the baking sheets (about 12 cookies per sheet).
- Bake for 9 minutes. Do not overbake- you want them gooey!
- Let cool for a couple minutes on the baking sheets before moving to a wire rack to cool. There you go- such easy peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.
Eat them that day or freeze them in these containers. They are the BEST cookies frozen! I prefer them frozen over not.
