I can’t believe that Beck is almost 4! Time is a thief but it is just getting more and more fun for every holiday! I LOVE holidays and as Easter rolled around especially with the quarantine I wanted to make it extra fun! I realized that we didn’t really have any Easter traditions so I started 3 fun ones that I can’t wait to do every year! Bring on the family Easter traditions!

Number 1– Leaving Out Sugar Cookies for the Bunny!

Make and decorate sugar cookies to leave out for the Easter bunny! It was so fun to make some spring cookies, take them around to neighbors etc. If you want to try my favorite sugar cookie recipe– I have that linked here.

Beck loved helping and decoarting the cookies. Then on Easter Eve we left them out for the bunny to eat on a fun bunny plate. Beck was laughing so hard in the morning when he saw that the bunny had taken bites out of the cookies- it was so cute! Such a fun and tasty family Easter tradition.

I had fun decorating and got creative make the chick cookie. I just used an egg shaped cookie and piped it and add some googly eyes- it was fun to use them for more than Halloween.

If you make cookies I highly suggest using these disposable bags– they will save your sanity haha. Also here is the piping tip set I use – it is the best value and I use it all the time.

Number 2– Bunny Poop

This one was so fun and Beck was laughing so hard- since he is a boy he loves all things bathroom talk haha. I dropped some jellybeans in the toilet and left a little sign saying he forgot to flush. Not that Beck can read but he thought it was cute!

Here is a tip- don’t drop the jellybeans in the toilet until right before aka that morning because the color will fade off. It was fun to have Beck go to the bathroom before finding his basket and see the jellybeans. We hid his basket which was something our parents did growing up and it was so fun to see him look for it. I think that next year I might do a scavenger hunt for Beck because I think that would be cute and next year he would be even more into it making it an even more fun family Easter tradition!

Number 3– Bunny Footprints

Okay this one was so fun! I left bunny footprints for Beck to see that the bunny had been at our house. I thought about leaving them on our floor with flour or powdered sugar. But to avoid the mess I decided to do chalk outside on our walkway. I made a stencil that was a little rough looking haha. I just free handed it but next year I am going to print and cut a stencil out to make it easier.

With the whole quarantine thing going on since we couldn’t go to egg hunts. My parents were so cute and came and decorated the yard with a bunch of plastic Easter eggs. So after we had found his basket and stuff we went outside and Beck saw the footprints and was freaking out haha. The day before Easter out of the blue Beck asked me how the bunny gets in the house and it caught my totally off guard! I didn’t know what to say haha and I just said “Oh he hops through the front door!”

So when Beck saw the footprints he was like “Yeah he did hop through the door!” He then did the Easter egg hunt all over the yard and was in heaven. He was sooo cute and into it! I posted such a cute funny video on my Instagram feed- if you want to brighten your day you can watch it here haha!

Easter was crazy this year but we made the most of it and I am excited to have slowed down and had the chance to think of fun family Easter traditions. I hope you have fun making bunny footprints, poop and leaving out cookies haha.
