Stadium of Fire is an annual Fourth of July fireworks show in Provo, Utah. It’s held at LaVell Edwards Stadium, home to Brigham Young University’s football team and has been held every year since 1990.
This year Journey will be headlining the 2023 show. Journey has headlined for the Stadium of Fire before in 2015 and was a big hit. This year’s performance shouldn’t disappoint.
The 2022 show featured performances by high-profile acts such as Tim McGraw and Marie Osmond.
People who wish to attend can buy tickets online or in person at the stadium’s ticket office towards the end of March. Tickets start at $35 per person. Fourth of July event in Provo, Utah.
The event was started by Merrill Osmond and Alan Osmond in 1980 as a way to celebrate our country’s birthday. Now, it draws 30,000 to 50,000 people each year!
There is live music, a parade and fireworks. It’s a wonderful event that we look forward to every year! It has become a tradition for many families, and we have enjoyed it for many years. It is always fun to see the kids enjoy themselves so much during the parade and fireworks!
The fireworks are always a highlight of the event. It is so much fun to watch them light up the sky! The music is also very enjoyable, especially when it’s live.
Stadium of Fire 2023
This year’s Stadium of Fire will be on July 1st at 8:00pm. The headlining acts have not quite been announced yet but we will keep you updated as they’re announced.
Because this is a very well attended event the Freedom Festival people try to make it more fun by having a free street dance for all age after the firework show. This will be located to the west of the stadium where Miner Music DJ will be playing all kinds of fun dance music for the whole family.
Freedom Festival Activities
The best part of the Stadium of Fire is that if you decide to come for the event there are lots of other activities. One of these being the Grand Parade that goes down University Avenue in Provo, Utah. This is a very popular event that is sometimes hard to find good spots at. People will save their spots along the side of the road for sometimes days in advance. Luckily, you won’t have to do that if you get tickets early enough in advance for bleacher seating. Provo has bleachers set up a various spots along the route. Our family has reserved some of these bleacher seats for the past few years and makes the experience much more enjoyable.
Another great activity is the Balloon Fest which goes from July 1-4. Try to check the weather before you go one of these days. Some years they only inflate the balloons and don’t take off because of weather conditions. But if you pick a good day the you will be able to see about 25-30 hot air balloons take off and fly throughout the sky. It really makes for some awesome pictures too!
Tickets to the show
Tickets go on sale starting on March 24th at 10am. To get this earlier time to purchase tickets, you’ll need to subscribe to their email list. Otherwise the tickets go on sale the same day at noon. You can purchase tickets online or in person at the stadium’s ticket office. Tickets are $35-$250 per person.
The biggest firework show
Stadium Fire is the biggest fireworks show in America, with 30,000 to 50,000 people attending each year. It’s held at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah and has featured performances by high-profile acts like Tim McGraw and Marie Osmond. Like past years, this year will also feature a flyover by F-35 jets from Utah’s Hill Air Force Base. This is definitely one of the best events of the year in Utah and what a great way to celebrate our independence!
Remember that most of the stadium is bleacher seats. Having one of these stadium seats with a back is pretty much a must, especially while looking up at the fireworks.
