I have always loved peanut butter! I mean what’s not to love is how I feel. I will take either crunchy or creamy! But if I am being honest I am a crunchy girl! One of my favorite snacks ever is dipping apple slices in peanut butter… so good & easy!
Have you heard of Pic’s Peanut Butter? Um… I am in peanut butter heaven! The crunchy is so crunchy, in a good way! If you look at the back of the jar, guess what? The only ingredients are peanuts & a trace of Kiwi salt! It’s also gluten and sugar free & no additives! You can’t feel bad about eating peanut butter like this! Especially when it is so dang good it is hard to put down. Pic’s also makes Peanut Butter Slugs (think a solid tube of peanut butter!) Peanut Oil, Almond Butter & Cashew Butter!
After trying Pic’s I immediately thought of my favorite peanut butter bar cookies! It is a classic that is always made at functions with my family & now my in-laws since they are that good! I dare you to make them & see for yourself!
Peanut Butter Fingers:
-1 cup peanut butter
-1 cup butter
– 1 cup sugar
-1 cup brown sugar
-2 eggs
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-2 teaspoons vanilla
-2 cups flour
-2 cups oatmeal
Cream together butter, sugar & eggs. Add peanut butter then dry ingredients. Press dough onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. After you pull the pan out & while it is hot, spread one package of chocolate chips across the pan. As the chocolate chips start to melt use a butter knife or spatula to spread them out evenly, then let harden all the way.
Once the bars with the melted chocolate chips on top have hardened, make a frosting for the top. Mix together 3/4 cup peanut butter & 2 cups powdered sugar. Add a little milk to thin as needed. Spread this frosting across & then cut into squares & enjoy! The crunchiness of the Pic’s Peanut Butter makes them extra good!
